Fall is one of the best times of year to explore the Houston area. Whether you're new in town or have lived here for years, here are fall favorites across Greater Houston to add to your calendar this season.

Farms, pumpkin patches & corn mazes
- Dewberry Farm Fall Festival — Brookshire. Weekends, Sept. 19 – Nov. 15. One of the area's biggest fall farms, with dozens of rides and attractions, a corn maze and hayrides.
- P-6 Farms Fall Festival — Montgomery. Weekends, Sept. 26 – Nov. 8. U-pick pumpkins, sunflower fields, rides and pig races.
- Froberg's Farm Fall Festival — Alvin. Daily from late September into early November. Corn maze, hayrides, a jumping pillow and a farm store with a bakery.
- Blessington Farms Fall Fest — Simonton. Weekends from late September through October. Pumpkin picking, hayrides and hands-on farm activities.
- Old MacDonald's Farm Harvest Patch — Humble. Daily, mid-September through Oct. 31. Pony rides, a train, a petting zoo and a pumpkin patch.
- 7 Acre Wood Fall Festival — Conroe. Daily in October. Pumpkin patch, petting zoo, mini golf and hayrides.
- Old Time Christmas Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch — Spring. Select days in October, with train rides and hayrides.
Festivals
- Texas Renaissance Festival — Todd Mission. Weekends, expected Oct. 10 – Nov. 29. Jousting, costumes, food and artisan shops at one of the largest Renaissance festivals in the country.
- Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival — Downtown Conroe. Traditionally held the second weekend of October, with Cajun food, live music and carnival rides.
- Katy Rice Harvest Festival — Katy. Oct. 10–11. Craft vendors, live music and local food in Old Town Katy.
- Houston Pumpkin Festival at Discovery Green — Downtown Houston. Late September through late October, with pumpkin lantern displays and activities for all ages.
- Original Greek Festival — Montrose. Oct. 1–3. Greek food, folk dancing and cultural performances.
